The Clubhouse installed, A bit of Landscape done, Outside balcony and Greens keeper's ramp builded and the club inside receiving visitors. (50 or more over the last week). The First weeks of Manchester LBC saw a "Sunfest" invitation to the public, with Youth learning to Bowl. A major promotion of Bowls of 30 plus participants was probably the club's "Open House" and now two major Provincial activities have finished.
The Interclub of 10 teams from all over the province saw great greens, a kitchen staff greeting and fine weather as did the Provincial Senior Playdown last Saturday. Now, after all the work by a few club executives, everything can go on by its self. Although we expect workers for volunteer, we all feel the need for a break. Thank you Dave, John, Richard, Linda,Betty, Ed,Ron, Jerry and town of Riverview staff who for the last month have been so occupied with the installation. jjt

Today, April 16, 2013 we have began to destroy the old Clubhouse in preparation for the Town of Riverview to move the "Tourist Bureau" onto the site as a new and larger clubhouse.
Thanks, must be extended to those who over the past several years, have worked to advance this dossier. Although it took time for a decision, several Manchester LBC member were always pushing for this successful decision.
Before the Manchester LBC can receive the tourist bureau as a clubhouse; the removal of the present building will be necessary. The club members and friends will do a lot of this work.
A decision to recover part of the old clubhouse, which will be used as a Bowls and Equipment Storage Building was made by Greenskeeper, Richard, and club President, Dave.
Today, the work was started to removing the ceiling and walls of the section to be destroyed. Also work to prepare and save the newest section (large bay window area added in the 90's) was started by the building being cut into two parts.
This part of the Clubhouse, which will be saved, will be closed with a wall; Then it will be moved to the far left corner of the club area. Then after destruction and removal of the old clubhouse, the new "Tourist Bureau" Clubhouse can be moved onto the present building's location. Probably late may or early June.
Everything is hoped to be in place by mid to late May.
